Across many years of supporting people in places of high performance and pressure, there have been two consistent truths:

1) Investing in character as well as competency defined peoples’ ability to build a fulfilling and fruitful life, and

2) When things go badly wrong it is usually questions of character, not competence, that are at fault.

As for myself, I do not profess to be the finished article: far from it and never will be.

But I did become intentional about this many years ago. So, my support here is an invitation to learn alongside me not just from me.

And this is my story.

All men make mistakes, but a good man yields when he knows his course is wrong, and repairs the evil. The only crime is pride.
— Sophocles, Antigone

A short Bio

In work

My career has focused on taking “business as a force for good” from a fringe to mainstream concern. Across impact funds, think tanks and enterprise movements, I have played a formative role in a variety contexts now recognised as leaders in their fields.

In life

For over twenty years, I have wrestled with the rewarding but challenging recognition that seeking change in the world meant seeking change in myself first. Who I am becoming has become my most important work, however upending that may be.

In support

I have spent a lifetime around relational, discreet, peer-to-peer dialogues. Across executives, politicians, family offices, landowners and beyond I have helped a broad spectrum of people navigate the challenges of high responsibility and worldly success.
